50 Cent congratulates Eminem on his latest milestone

Legendary ‘In Da Club’ rapper 50 Cent recently took to Instagram to congratulate his long-time friends Dr Dre and Eminem on hitting a streaming milestone as Eminem’s 2009 single ‘Crack A Bottle’ hits 200 million streams on Spotify.

Congratulating the pair on the milestone, the New York rapper the rapper hinted that as a nod to his friends’ achievement, he may even perform the song more during live appearances posting “Not Bad for a kid from South Side I’m gonna make sure i do that song on my next run. @bransoncognac @lecheminduroi.”

The legendary ‘Crack A Bottle’ was the lead single for Eminem’s 2009 album Relapse. Upon release, the song topped the Billboard Hot 100 and broke the first-week digital sales record with 418,000 downloads, topping the previous record held by “Live Your Life” by T.I. featuring Rihanna.

Although the single was released in 2009, the music video for the track was only released earlier this year after years in the vault. However, some fans are speculating whether or not Slim Shady did only release the video this year, with some saying that the rapper has merely re-uploaded the video.

In the comments of the “recently released” video, fans were debating, with some commenting  “This been on YouTube for years,” while another said, “Honestly think they aren’t from any vault, and he’s just making more money off his old tracks.”

Eminem, through his Interscope imprint Shady Records, released Curtain Call 2 earlier this year. This, his second greatest hits compilation, draws tracks from all of the rapper’s projects from Relapse forward, even including his guest appearances and soundtrack cuts.

As well as all of the fantastic throwback tracks, Curtain Call 2 also featured a previously unreleased collaboration with 50 Cent called “Is This Love (‘ 09),” which was accompanied by a music video for last month. Hopefully, the two friends will continue to have great success moving forward, and, who knows, maybe we will even get a track in the near future. You can listen to Curtain Call 2 below.
